Reprogram yourself after the pandemic: 3 steps

Reprogram yourself after the pandemic

Warmer weather and the widespread COVID 19 vaccination mean that we will spend more time outside. How to free yourself from insecurities left by those months of anxiety and isolation:

1- Reprogram your mind: love yourself. You practiced social distancing, the lockdown, and took care of helping kids with remote learning, your job. Stay positive about yourself.

2- Evaluate your health. Months spent between the children’s home school, the kitchen, and TV leads to a loss of muscle mass and subsequent drop of your metabolism. That’s a fact. Weight yourself, check your BMI https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmi-m.htm

(weight Vs. height) and set up a reasonable goal.

  • A BMI of less than 18.5 means that you are underweight.
  • A BMI of between 18.5 and 24.9 is ideal.
  • A BMI of between 25 and 29.9 is overweight.
  • A BMI over 30 indicates obesity.

3- Change your Diet: avoid sweets, fried foods and add veggies to lunch and diner.

Exercise 20 minutes a day at least one way or another, even if it’s just walking. Ideally, walk briskly. Use free lightweight to strengthen your arms and shoulders.

Reprogram yourself after the pandemic by limiting screen time and spending more time with friends or family.
